Nevaeh Weathers: From Local Talent to World Champion
Nevaeh Weathers, a 10-year-old gymnast from Patchogue, recently made headlines at the 2024 USAIGC World Gymnastics Championships in Orlando. Competing against 283 gymnasts from countries including the USA, England, South Africa, Canada, and India, Nevaeh excelled in the Bronze Division with several top placements:
- 1st Place All-Around World Champion
- 1st Place on Uneven Bars
- 1st Place on Vault
- 1st Place on Beam
- 2nd Place on Floor
Earlier this year, she also won the New York State Gymnastics All-Around. Nevaeh’s journey began at just one and a half years old, and she has thrived with the unwavering support of her coaches at Julie’s Gym.
